Biography

Dr. Osidele has more than 25 years of combined experience in engineering, banking, information technology and research. Prior to joining Cimbria Consulting, he spent 12 years at Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas, where he rose to the position of Senior Research Engineer responsible for risk, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance assessments of various nuclear energy facilities for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Dr. Osidele served seven years on the National Advisory Council for Environmental Policy and Technology, where he led three working groups on sustainability, citizen science and strategic workforce planning to produce more than 60 national policy recommendations to the Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Dr. Osidele currently serves on the Steering Committee for SA Climate Ready—a project to develop a Climate Action and Adaptation Plan for the City of San Antonio, Texas—where he coordinates the Energy & Buildings Technical Working Group to identify policies, evaluate strategies, and prioritize actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and build resilience to the unavoidable impacts of climate change.

Dr. Osidele has a Ph.D. in Forest Resources and Environmental Systems Analysis from the University of Georgia, a M.S. in Global Energy Management from the University of Colorado, a M.S.c in Hydrology from Imperial College at the University of London, and a BSc in Civil Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
