Our Name & History

As a Danish immigrant to United States, the founder of Cimbria Consulting, Cimbria Capital, and Cimbria Nord – Brian V. Iversen – saw it as natural to establish a name with origin in Scandinavia. All firms were therefore named after an ancient Danish tribe, the Cimbri.

The Cimbrian Bull (Danish: Cimbrertyren) is a symbol of the Cimbri tribe. The Cimbria peoples worshipped the bull as a god of strength.

Cimbria Consulting adopted at inception this symbol, the charging head and horns of the Cimbrian Bull – signifying the brain, knowledge, and intelligence of the powerful animal. Our parent firm – Cimbria Capital – shares the inspiration of the Cimbrian Bull for its logo and identity.
